Whitelisting URLs for AppSecEngineer access

Outlines the mandatory domains that must be whitelisted on enterprise networks to ensure seamless access to AppSecEngineer courses, labs, authentication, and AWS-hosted training infrastructure.

Overview

To ensure uninterrupted access to the AppSecEngineer platform, training labs, and related services, certain domains must be whitelisted on your network, firewall, or proxy. We frequently receive queries about required URLs, so this article provides the current list that must be allowed for AppSecEngineer to function correctly.

Why whitelisting is required

If your organization uses restrictive outbound network policies, blocking these domains may cause issues such as:
  • Inability to access courses or labs
  • Broken integrations or training content not loading
  • Authentication or platform access failures
Whitelisting the required URLs ensures a smooth learning experience.

URLs to whitelist

Please allow outbound access to the following domains:
  • appsecengineer.training
  • amazonaws.com
  • appsecengineer.com
Note:
The amazonaws.com domain is required because AppSecEngineer hosts labs and supporting infrastructure on AWS.

Who should apply these changes

  • Enterprise IT or network security teams
  • Organizations using firewalls, proxies, or secure web gateways
  • Teams operating in restricted or air-gapped environments (where applicable)
