Using a Playground

Navigate to Playgrounds, select and start a lab, carefully follow instructions, provision resources if needed, and complete tasks sequentially for hands-on secure coding practice.

Step 1: Navigate to the Playgrounds
  1. Look for the Left Menu on your platform/dashboard interface.
  2. Click on the option labeled "Playgrounds". This will open a section containing a list of available playgrounds.

Step 2: Select a Playground

  1. Browse through the list of playgrounds displayed on the screen.
  2. Identify the playground you want to work on.
  3. Click on the desired playground to highlight or select it.

Step 3: Start the Playground

  1. Once the playground is selected, locate the START button associated with it.
  2. Click the START button to begin the playground.

Step 4: Read the Instructions

  1. Once the playground starts, an instruction page will appear.
  2. Carefully read through all the instructions to understand the objectives and tasks for the lab.

Step 5: Start the Lab

  1. After reviewing the instructions, look for the option to Start the Lab (this may be a button or link).
  2. Click on Start the Lab to initialize the lab environment.

Step 6: Provision the Lab

  1. Some labs require provisioning resources. Follow any prompts to Provision the Lab (this might involve allocating cloud resources, initializing environments, or setting up virtual machines).
  2. Wait for the provisioning process to complete. You may see status messages like "Initializing," "Setting up resources," or "Provisioning complete."

Step 7: Follow the Given Steps

  1. Once the lab environment is ready, refer back to the instructions provided earlier.
  2. Follow each step carefully as outlined in the lab.
    • If there are multiple steps, ensure you complete them in sequence.
    • Double-check your work to ensure accuracy.

Additional Tips

  • Need Help? If you get stuck, check for a “Help” or “Support” option on the platform.
  • Save Your Progress: Some labs allow saving your progress—look for this feature if needed.
  • Time Management: Some labs may have a time limit. Keep track of the time to ensure you complete the tasks.
