Starting a Hands-On Lab
Easily start hands-on labs in AppSecEngineer by accessing labs within your course, reviewing instructions, starting the lab environment with guided tasks and pre-configured tools, while tracking your time and saving progress throughout the session.
Follow these steps to start a hands-on lab:

Log in to the User Portal:
- Sign in using your credentials on the learning platform.

Navigate to the Course:
- Open the course that contains the lab you want to complete.
- Labs are typically available after completing some video lessons in the course.

Access the Lab Section:
- Scroll through the course content to locate the Lab Section.

- Scroll through the course content to locate the Lab Section.

Review Lab Overview and Instructions:
- Click on the lab to open it.
- Read the Overview, Instructions, and the list of Prohibited Activities carefully.

Start the Lab:
- Click the Start Lab button to initiate the lab environment.
- A timer will appear, showing the remaining time for the lab.

Access the Lab Environment:
- Click the Access Lab button to enter the lab environment and begin working on the tasks.

Complete the Lab Tasks:
- Follow the provided instructions to complete the lab.
- Use any pre-configured tools or resources in the lab environment.

End the Lab:
- Once you have completed the tasks or if you need to stop, click the End Lab button.
- Ensure you save your progress or results, if required.
