How to Use Interviews in AppSecEngineer?

Learn how to create, assign, and review hands-on security interviews in AppSecEngineer to assess candidate and team skills.

The Interviews feature in AppSecEngineer for Enterprise allows organizations to evaluate candidates and team members using hands-on security challenges. These interviews simulate real-world cybersecurity scenarios to assess skills in areas like secure coding, cloud security, and penetration testing.

Step 1: Log in to Your AppSecEngineer Admin Account

  • Open the AppSecEngineer platform.
  • Sign in using your enterprise admin credentials.
  • Ensure you have the necessary permissions to create and manage interviews.

Step 2: Navigate to the Interviews Section

  • From the dashboard, click on "Interviews" in the main menu.
  • This section allows you to create, schedule, and manage interviews.

Step 3: Create a New Interview

  • Click on "Create Interview" to start setting up an interview session.
  • Enter the interview title and provide a brief description of the assessment.

Step 4: Assign Candidates to the Interview

  • Enter the candidate’s email ID or select team members from your organization.
  • Define the interview duration (e.g., 60 minutes, 90 minutes).
  • Set the start and end date for when the interview should be completed.

Step 5: Monitor and Review Performance

  • Once the candidate completes the interview, navigate to the Results Dashboard.
  • View:
    • Completion status
    • Score and performance insights
    • Areas of strength and improvement
  • Use the detailed reports to make informed hiring or skill assessment decisions.
